Cortext is a WA hip hop artist who has been making noise around the state for a while now. The Perth based/South West raised lyricist has been a part of several projects over the last few years, as well as releasing two collaborative CDs, 'Champion Music,' with SMA crewmate Chekid, and 'Ill Recognise Ill' with long-time friend and collaborator Aero.D.
Over the last year, Cortext has been compiling his first solo project, 'Streaming Consciousness 2.0: The Mixtape.' The 2-Disc release is dropping December 21st, and this launch will be the first chance listeners will get to hear it live.
The launch is also a fundraiser, and all profits from ticket sales goes to Oxfam's 'Close the Gap' initiative, a campaign to achieve indigenous health equality in Australia within 25 years.
